2013 MINI-GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES
1.- Programs must focus on the oral traditions and be storytelling based, with an emphasis on cultural literacy activities. Monies should be used to pay for promotional materials, decorations, hired storyteller/performer, and other related expenses as specified in your proposal. Only 10% of monies can be spent on refreshments.
2.- Selection criteria will be based on:
- Creativity of the program
- Level of community involvement
- Publicity
- Impact of the project
3.- Provide a promotional action plan for NOCHE DE CUENTOS which indicates that the library will:
- Use the NOCHE DE CUENTOS program logo and PR templates provided by the REFORMA Office.
- Submit press releases to local media promoting the program
- Submit final documentation and photos for posting on the NOCHE webpage
4.- Submit Final Report by April 30th to include:
- Photos of the event to post on the website
- Number of participants
- Ages of participants
- List and description of activities
- List of other pertinent information that you would like to share about your program
Important Dates and Deadlines:
- January 6 to January 31, 2013 - Submit proposals
- February 1st – 15th – Proposals will be reviewed by the members of the Amigos de la NOCHE Team
- February 15th – 20th - Winners will be announced and monies disbursed
- March 20 – May 5th – Libraries host Noche de Cuentos
- April 30th – Reports due to the Amigos de la Noche Team
